We do not store your social media passwords - authentication is handled securely through each platform's official OAuth process.

TikTok Integration

When you connect your TikTok account, we request and use the following permissions in compliance with TikTok's Developer Terms and API policies:

• user.info.basic: Access to your basic profile information (username, display name, profile picture) to display your connected account
• video.upload: Permission to upload video content to your TikTok account on your behalf
• video.publish: Permission to publish and schedule video content to your TikTok profile
• video.list: Access to view your published videos for analytics and management purposes

We process your TikTok data strictly in accordance with TikTok's Platform Policy, Developer Terms, and API Terms of Service. We only access and use your TikTok data for the specific purposes you have authorized through our platform's content management features.

Content and Posts

We temporarily store the content you create or schedule through our platform, including text, images, videos, and captions. This content is stored only as long as necessary to schedule and publish your posts to your connected social media accounts.

Platform Data from Social Media

“Platform Data” means information we obtain from Meta's Platform (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, and other social media platforms when you connect your accounts. We only access data that you explicitly grant us permission to access through each platform's authorization process.

TikTok Data Processing: For TikTok accounts, we collect and process video metadata, publication status, basic profile information, and engagement metrics solely for content management and analytics purposes. We do not download, store, or redistribute your TikTok video content beyond what is necessary for publishing services. All TikTok data processing complies with TikTok's data use restrictions and is limited to the explicit purposes of content scheduling, publishing, and performance analytics.

Content: Scheduled content is deleted after successful posting or when you manually delete it. Draft content is kept until you delete it or close your account.

Platform Data Retention: We comply with each platform's Terms and data retention requirements:

• Meta Platforms (Facebook/Instagram): When you disconnect your accounts, we immediately stop collecting new Platform Data and delete all stored Platform Data within 30 days. Analytics data is deleted within 90 days. We promptly delete Platform Data upon user request or when Meta requests deletion for user protection.
• TikTok: When you disconnect your TikTok account, we immediately revoke access tokens and stop all data collection. Stored TikTok profile data and video metadata are deleted within 30 days. We comply with TikTok's data deletion requirements and will promptly delete TikTok data upon user request or if required by TikTok for user protection or policy compliance.

Analytics Data: Aggregated and anonymized usage analytics are retained for up to 2 years to help us improve our services.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have control over your information and can:

Access and Update: View and update your account information through your account settings.

Delete Content: Delete any content you've created or scheduled through our platform.

Disconnect Accounts: Disconnect any social media accounts from our platform at any time, which will immediately stop our access to those accounts.

Delete Account: Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.

If you are in the European Union, you have additional rights under GDPR, including data portability and the right to object to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent to process your information.

7. TikTok Integration and Compliance

PostEverywhere integrates with TikTok's Content Posting API to enable video publishing and management functionality. This section provides specific details about our TikTok integration in compliance with TikTok's Developer Terms, Platform Policy, and App Review requirements.

TikTok API Usage and Permissions

Our application requests the following TikTok API scopes with explicit user consent:

• video.upload: To upload video files to TikTok on your behalf when you use our content publishing features
